SignTools 2 Trouble Shooting

Missing SignTools Menu in CorelDRAW with Windows NT and Windows 2000

SignTools 2 in its current form does not support Windows NT or 2000. Although SignTools will install on both operating systems the menu configuration and shortcuts files are placed into the wrong directory. There is a simple workaround below.

CorelDRAW 8

-----> FOR Windows NT <------

1) Close CorelDRAW8
2) Install SignTools
3) For each user configured on your system, copy the following directory
and all of it's contents to the user in question:

X:\<install directory>\Graphics8\Workspace\CorelDRAW8

To

X:\WINNT\Profiles\<username>\Application Data\Corel\CorelDRAW8\CorelDRAW8

Where:
i) X is the drive in question
ii) <install directory> is the directory CorelDRAW8 has been installed to
iii) <username> is the logon username (eg jsmith or Administrator)

EXAMPLE, FOR:
DRIVE: C
INSTALL DIRECTORY: C:\Program Files
USERNAME: jsmith

Copy

C:\Corel\Graphics8\Workspace\CorelDRAW8

To

C:\WINNT\Profiles\jsmith\Application Data\Corel\CorelDRAW8\CorelDRAW8

4) Open CorelDRAW8, you should now see the SignTools menu.

-----> For Windows 2000 <------

1) Close CorelDRAW8
2) Install SignTools
3) For each user configured on your system, copy the following directory
and all of it's contents to the user in question:

X:\<install directory>\Graphics8\Workspace\CorelDRAW8

To

X:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Corel\CorelDRAW8\CorelDRAW8

Where:
i) X is the drive in question
ii) <install directory> is the directory CorelDRAW8 has been installed to
iii) <username> is the logon username (eg jsmith or Administrator)

DRIVE: C
INSTALL DIRECTORY: C:\Program Files
USERNAME: jsmith

Copy

C:\Corel\Graphics8\Workspace\CorelDRAW8

To

C:\Documents and Settings\jsmith\Application Data\Corel\CorelDRAW8\CorelDRAW8
